Our work on the knowledge economy is a cross-cutting effort to help ensure coherent engagement with India on economic and trade policy, science and innovation, education, and research; and to ensure that all involved realise the benefits of that engagement.

UK & India: Partners in Research & Innovation

We bring together diverse teams and work strands in the High Commission including:

• Science and Innovation Network, with Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai offices
  
• India Office of the UK Research Councils (RCUK)
  
• Department for International Development (DFID) South Asia Research Hub (part of DFID Research and Evidence)
  
• India Trade Policy Unit (a joint FCO, DFID, UKTI team)
  
• Economic Policy, including bilateral dialogue with India and wider G20 work
  
• UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) India work on education and skills, and financial services policy
  
• Education coordination, working closely with DFID India  and the British Council India Office.
