The UK Trade and Investment India Business Awards 2009 celebrated the achievements of UK and Indian companies that have found exciting ways of conducting business between our two nations.

This year's event in Mumbai had seven categories recognising the dynamism, creativity and innovation behind these success stories. To ensure fair play in a highly competitive environment, a senior panel of impartial jurors worked closely together to determine the shortlisted companies against these categories:

1. Investor of the Year
2. Business Partnership Award
3. Green Innovation Award
4. New Market Entrant
5. Corporate Social Responsibility Award
6. Young Business Leader of the Year
7. Business Person of the Year

The judging panel also identified a company and individual for the UK Trade & Investment Special Recognition Award.

The winners were announced at a televised awards dinner and ceremony in Mumbai on 17 September 2009.
