'Commonwealth conversation’ to be launched in India (26/10/2009)
The Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) UK, in association with Commonwealth Journalists Association-India chapter, will launch the ‘Commonwealth Conversation’ in India, tomorrow (27 October 2009). ‘Commonwealth Conversation’ is an endeavour to gather opinions of individuals and organisations across the world about the Commonwealth and identify key issues of international concern on which the Commonwealth should focus.
The launch will include a panel discussion on the role of the Commonwealth, including Climate Change, Democracy & Human Rights and Reform of International Institutions.

The discussion will follow an introduction by Dr Danny Sriskandarajah, Director, Royal Commonwealth Society on ‘Commonwealth Conversation’. Panelists include Prithviraj Chavan, MoS, PMO; Dr Vibha Dhavan, Executive Director, TERI and S Nihal Singh, senior journalist. The discussion will be facilitated by Sudhir T Devare, Director General, Indian Council of World Affairs.
