The purpose of the Strategic Programme Fund (SPF) is to promote action on global issues in areas of strategic importance to the UK. SPF funds projects around the world to support in delivery of HMG's Departmental Strategic Objectives (DSO's). The DSO-7 is to 'Promote A Low Carbon, High Growth, Global Economy' through programme on climate change, energy security and economic reform projects in 22 priority countries.
Low Carbon High Growth India bidding round open for the year 2009-2010
The British High Commission, New Delhi, is seeking project proposals for its 'Low Carbon High Growth' India Programme. Projects proposed must strongly contribute to our low carbon high growth strategy for India. Please refer to the LCHG India Programme Strategy that contains details on objectives and indicators, as well as suggestions for the areas new projects might look at.
Eligibility: Indian based Civil Society Organisations, International NGOs, Private Limited Companies, Independent Consultants, Research Organisations, Think Tanks and Universities are eligible to apply for bids.
Bidding process: Organisations should submit concept bid/s focussed on areas specified under the indicators notes in the LCHG India strategy. Only bids approved through the concept stage will be considered for full bids. Click below to download the bidding form and supporting guidance.

Important dates:
16 December 2008 Announcement of the call for bids
15 January 2009 Submission of concept bids to British High Commission New Delhi
6 February 2009 Announcement for invitation of full bids
2 March 2009 Submission of full bids
26 March 2009 Announcement of results full bids recommended for funding
Concept Bids:
• When submitting the concept bid use only Part A of the bid form. Please refer to the guidance notes for help.
• Concept bids will be evaluated against their strategic fit to the SPF LCHG India programme strategy and the project design,
• Last date for concept bid submission is Thursday 15th January 2009.
• Concept bids should be submitted only in the required template through email. Incomplete forms will be rejected.
